Photography possesses a unique power to capture moments of vulnerability, resilience, and human connection.

Last year I had the privilege of meeting Judy Morgan, a woman whose strength and spirit shone brightly despite her battle with breast cancer. At the beginning of our photoshoot, Judy let me know that she would not be smiling for me. Within 15 minutes she was grinning ear to ear.

Judy's legacy lives on through her loved ones and transcends through others who are on a similar journey. Judy encourages others with metastatic breast cancer and an ESR1 mutation to avoid being passive. “Don’t be afraid to try new things,” she said. “When you’re battling something like breast cancer, you want the latest and greatest.”

Her unwavering spirit and commitment to advocacy inspire us to embrace hope and empowerment in the face of adversity.

In the realm of photography, capturing moments of resilience becomes an art form—a testament to the human spirit's indomitable strength. Judy's radiant smile immortalized in photographs serves as a beacon of hope, reminding us of the profound beauty found in moments of vulnerability and triumph.

As we commemorate Judy's legacy and honor her resilience, let us embrace the power of photography to illuminate stories of courage, resilience, and hope. In capturing these moments, we celebrate the human spirit's capacity to transcend adversity and inspire others on their journeys toward healing and resilience.
